Job summary

Walden Security is currently seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. A sign-on bonus of $1,000 is paid after 90 days on contract.

Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort duties, and enforcing federal law within court facilities. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of verifiable law enforcement or military experience, a valid driver’s license, and successful

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English with ability to understand rules and procedures.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record for past five years.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and enforce identification protocols.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds according to post orders.
• Stand guard at stationary posts including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and designated individuals.
• Direct traffic and pedestrian flow on court facility properties as applicable.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized access to government property or court proceedings.
• Prepare reports on incidents, labor hours, accidents, or other security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect rooms prior to proceedings, and test security devices.
• Provide courtroom security presence and enforce rules and judicial orders.
