Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Minimum 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card or license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and other designated locations to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders according to procedures.
• Observe and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and potentially hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel, and complete required activity reports.
