Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Detention Facility Security Officer in Charleston, SC to monitor government locations and deter security incidents. This full-time, daytime driving post requires a valid driver's license and an Armed Guard Card.

You will perform patrols, manage access, and document daily activities while delivering professional customer service to staff and visitors.

Qualifications

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by security procedures and policies.
Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters.
Monitor access and verify authorization for designated areas.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a correctional government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.
