Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Armed Perimeter Patrol in Chicago, IL. You will serve and safeguard clients across industries, conduct regular armed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents while providing excellent customer service.

You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors through clear communication and adherence to site policies, with a flexible part-time schedule and a pay rate of $19.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Valid armed guard card or license required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background check as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training participation expected.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify campus personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, reporting suspicious persons or conditions.
• Prepare clear incident reports and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
