Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Bank Protection Officer to work armed at a financial institution. The officer will maintain visible exterior post locations, deter criminal activity, and interact with customers and associates professionally.

Must have at least one year of verifiable security or military experience and be willing to work outdoors. Responsibilities include patrols on foot or in vehicle, monitoring for security concerns, and initiating emergency notifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of verifiable security experience and/or prior military experience with honorable discharge.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to operate radio/console equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized entry and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate incidents and maintain written logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary.
• Provide productivity and cost-reduction recommendations.
• Suggest physical security surveys and post orders.
