Job summary

ABB in Flowery Branch, GA is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing of AC motor stators on-site. You will supervise winding, assembly, QC checks, and adherence to safety and production standards.

The role demands reading blueprints and work orders, using standard measuring tools, and coordinating with maintenance to minimize downtime. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of industrial or military experience or vocational/technical education.
• Willingness to cross-train and lead a team in a fast-paced factory.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and manufacturing documents; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture AC motor stators by winding, coil wrapping, insulating, inserting, connecting, lashing, brazing, and testing per specifications and customer requirements.
• Operate and set up production equipment including winding and insertion machines, following work instructions and production standards.
• Perform quality checks by reading blueprints, work orders, and routing documents using measuring tools and basic math to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment by using PPE, operating tools and lifting equipment, and performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Regular attendance and availability for overtime are essential.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Flowery Branch, GA

Your role and responsibilities:

• Manufacture AC motor stators by performing winding, coil wrapping, insulating, inserting, connecting, lashing, brazing, and electrical testing according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Operate and set up production equipment including winding and insertion machines, while following established work instructions and production standards.
• Perform quality and technical checks by reading blueprints, work orders, and routing documents, using measuring tools and gauges, and applying basic math skills to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment by using required PPE, safely operating tools and lifting equipment, and performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods in a factory setting.
• Regular attendance and availability for overtime are essential job functions.

Qualifications for the role:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 Year of industrial or military experience, or vocational/technical education; motor manufacturing experience preferred. Prior leadership experience preferred with the ability to set high performance standards for self and others.
• Adaptability and organization: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change, with a willingness to cross-train and maintain a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Technical and operational proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must pass a background and drug screen and have valid U.S. work authorization. Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English is essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
