Job summary

ABB Inc. in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Production Support Associate to lace motors using machines and hand techniques, and to assist with connections and sleeving to support production needs.

You will read diagrams and shop floor documents, understand flex flow, and maintain safe housekeeping while communicating with team members and supervisors. This role requires a HS diploma and 6 months of related experience with overtime availability.

Qualifications

• 6 months of industrial or military experience, or vocational/technical education.
• Must pass a background and drug screen and have valid U.S. work authorization.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English is essential for a safe work environment.
• Regular attendance and availability for overtime are essential job functions.

• Motor Lacing & Assembly Support: Lace motors using machines and hand techniques; assist with related tasks such as connecting and sleeving to support production needs.
• Technical Skills: Read and comprehend diagrams, instructions, and manufacturing documents via Shop Floor Display; understand flex flow and day/rank systems.
• Quality & Communication: Produce defect-free products that meet specifications and goals; communicate with team members and supervisors, and manage materials and tools effectively.
• Safety & Teamwork: Prioritize safety, maintain housekeeping, work overtime as needed, and cross-train within the team to support various departmental functions.
