Job summary

AMETEK Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Sales Engineer to support OEM customers across the aerospace and defense markets from a home office within Arizona. You will translate customer specifications into viable solutions, coordinate engineering resources, and support design-in activities in collaboration with eight business units.

The role emphasizes technical interface with Tier 1 and sub-tier OEMs, with travel within AZ and occasional training visits to AMETEK A&D units.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in a technical aerospace/defense role.
• Willingness to travel (AZ territory) and training visits.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Legal right to work in the US and export-control access.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key technical personnel among customers on a regular basis.
• Assist with customer service, technical and sales functions.
• Guide customers through technical requirements, craft specifications, and proposal management.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering resources and provide on-site customer support.
• Enable long-term platform adoption within A&D applications.
