Job summary

Hudbay is seeking a Project Manager for the Arizona Business Unit’s Copper World project near Helvetia, Arizona. This strategic role leads the full lifecycle of Mine Operations projects—from initial scope and budgeting to construction oversight and commissioning—ensuring all initiatives are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Technical, or Trades discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in project management with construction discipline experience (earthworks preferred).
• Leadership: Ability to lead and grow a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical: Strong grasp of project management, procurement, scheduling, and SOPs.
• Safety: Familiarity with MSHA regulations (current MSHA preferred) and safe work practices.
• Mobility: Valid driver's license and reliable site transportation.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning, scheduling, and execution of approved Capital and Operating Projects for Mine Operations.
• Ensure seamless construction-to-commissioning transitions with operational readiness.
• Develop detailed Scopes of Work for Mine Operation and Technical capital projects.
• Oversee QC/QA programs to meet Hudbay standards.
• Support procurement and bid evaluations; manage contract budgets.
