Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Reliability Mechanic III in Del Rey, CA to oversee and perform tooling changes and setup across multiple production areas. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and routine PMs on electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance experience with supervisory exposure and strong problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Two years education beyond high school in maintenance or related field.
• Five years maintenance operations experience with two years in a supervisory/lead capacity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all company and OSHA safety programs are followed.
• Ensure GMP and Food safety procedures are followed.
• Inspect and verify PM completion and readiness for inspection.
• Determine materials, equipment, and supplies for projects and transfer equipment between projects.
• Maintain routine PM records up to date.
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems in Reliability dept.
• Inspect major contractor work and assist with new installations or changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Reliability Mechanic III is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and performing tooling changes and setup. The role includes installation and repair of electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other production/processing equipment. The mechanic may evaluate problematic systems or facilities, determine required installation or repair services, and may be assigned to the Plastics, Serac, Extraction, Fresh, or Arils Department. All tasks must incorporate Safety and Quality considerations.

Compensation

USD 25.00 – 35.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

Job Description

• Ensure all company and OSHA safety programs are followed.
• Ensure all GMP policies and Food safety procedures are followed.
• Ensure all required GFSI, FDA, USDA, FSMA, Third Party Audit, and company procedures and policies related to food safety are followed.
• Inspects work for completeness and informs supervisor when job assignments or PM are complete and ready for inspection.
• Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used and transfers equipment from one project to another as necessary.
• Keeps routine records and PM records up to date.
• Installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other related systems in the Reliability department.
• Inspects major contract work on mechanical and other related systems and assists when necessary to understand all new installations or changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all mechanic II skills & abilities with minimal or no supervision.
• Extensive understanding of the theory of operations for surrounding production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment breakdown events efficiently.
• Ability to perform all PMs or work requests generated for the Reliability department with minimal supervision.
• Ability to generate value added work requests through performing uptime inspections utilizing ultrasonic devices and other external tools to identify premature failures of production equipment.
• Mechanic III must have extensive understanding of electrical controls, PLCs, VFDs, and all other electronic devices.

Education & Experience

High School or GED or related technical field. At least two years of education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area. Five years experience in maintenance operations, including two years in a supervisory or lead capacity. Other similar work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.
