Job summary

Bridgestone Arena in Nashville is seeking a Full-Time Public Safety Officer to secure the building and enforce access during events. You will patrol, screen guests, and coordinate post coverage with the Public Safety team.

The role requires strong customer service, confidentiality, and the ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends. A background check and licensing may be required.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with service mindset.
• May work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Experience with public/customer service.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• TN Private Protective Services Unarmed License required or able to obtain.
• Extensive background investigation & verification.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises to preserve order and protect property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of visitors.
• Prepare employee badges and manage access to restricted areas.
• Screen individuals with detectors to prevent prohibited items.
• Escort individuals and provide personal protection.
• Maintain communications with security team via radios and phones.
• Inspect security systems and detect tampering.
• Write clear reports of daily activities and incidents.
• Call emergency services when needed.
• Provide friendly customer service to guests.
• Be alert and perform security tasks during shifts.
• Role-specific posts: Command Center Dispatch, Base Operator, Post I, Report Writer, Loading Dock Attendant.
• Respond to arena incidents promptly.
