Job summary

LSU New Orleans is seeking an Assistant Production & Operations Manager to coordinate custodial operations, event production, facility services, and operational readiness for the Lakefront Arena. This role oversees custodial staff, part-time personnel, contractors, and vendors; coordinates event setups, conversions, and logistics; and ensures the facility is safe, clean, and event-ready.

Qualifications

Demonstrated supervisory experience in facility operations, production services, or similar venues.
Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Coordinate custodial operations to maintain event-ready facilities.
Oversee event production, setups, rehearsals, and post-event tear-downs.
Manage equipment movement, maintenance, and service providers.
Supervise and schedule part-time staff and third-party contractors.
Support safety inspections, regulatory compliance (OSHA, ADA), and emergency readiness.
Assist the manager in daily operations and during heavy event periods.
