Job summary

Oak View Group in Loveland, CO seeks a Director of Event Operations to lead the Blue Arena's daily operations and ensure safe, successful events. Responsibilities include managing HVAC, A/V, custodial, and maintenance while coordinating with security, guest experience, box office, parking, and promoters.

This includes arranging set-ups, load-ins, and teardown to deliver a world-class experience. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays; salary range $90,000–$100,000

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree from an accredited college/university.
• 5-7 years of experience in facility operations management.
• Ability to direct operations teams.
• Knowledge of physical plant management and supervisory skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Knowledge of boilers, chillers, refrigeration, and ice-making equipment.
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm / Fire Protection systems
• Knowledge of event production and theatre technology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to operate building and lighting control systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operation and maintenance of the facility and all systems.
• Develop and manage facility budgets and forecast staffing needs.
• Communicate event information to departments and staff.
• Oversee event setup and teardown operations.
• Liaise with City/County services for permits and codes.
• Collaborate with county on capital projects.
• Direct and evaluate staff; provide training and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Prepare management reports and maintenance plans.
• Improve operations and customer service.
• Coordinate contractors and engineers on building projects.
• Maintain hazardous materials program and safety data sheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
