Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The role covers a wide range of facility systems maintenance, event support, and equipment operation to ensure safe, reliable performance during events and on off days.

Responsibilities include maintaining boilers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and arena machinery; operating Zamboni and other vehicles; and ensuring ice quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance; or a trade school diploma preferred.
• EPA universal refrigerant certification preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair building systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and some IT/AV.
• Maintain building structure and equipment, including food service gear and vehicles (e.g., Zamboni, forklifts).
• Operate arena equipment (Zamboni, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Inspect systems regularly and implement corrective actions.
• Anticipate malfunctions and minimize service interruptions.
• Assist with ice resurfacing per American Hockey League standards.
• Assist with snow/grass removal as needed.
• Understand operation of show equipment (scoreboards, lighting, intercom, sound).
• Follow Work Orders and ASM Maintenance Manager Systems (ALTUM).
• Assist in setup/breakdown of events; serve as Tech on Duty.
• Adhere to OSHA, NFPA safety codes.
• Provide assistance to the Director of Operations.
• Work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
