Job summary

The Florida Panthers are hiring for an Event Security Guard at the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial. This part-time role requires a valid Florida D License and offers event-based work with roughly 15–25 hours weekly, primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will help ensure guest safety, control access, and support smooth event operations in a fast-paced arena environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, prior security and customer service experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Florida D Security License required.
• Experience in security and customer service a must.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to restricted areas and maintain a secure environment for guests.
• Control guest and vendor access at ingress points and around the venue.
• Check credentials to control employee and visitor access during events.
• Inspect items not passing through magnetometers; screen guests for prohibited items.
• Monitor and respond to security issues during events; provide excellent customer service.
