Job summary

The Florida Panthers Hockey Club is seeking a part-time Event Security Guard (Non D Licensed) for the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial. The role supports our security team during events, ensuring guest safety and a positive stadium experience.

The position does not require a Florida D License; D-licensed roles are preferred when available. Hours are event-driven and evenings/weekends; candidates should be reliable, customer-focused, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous security, event staff, and/or customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Upbeat, team-first attitude with a genuine desire to help people.
• Passion to work with others and willingness to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Assertive, detail-oriented team player with a professional demeanor.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be available for evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to restricted areas and exterior doors, maintaining a secure environment for all visitors.
• Control guest and vendor access to FTL War Memorial, inside and outside the venue.
• Check credentials to manage employee and visitor access during events.
• Monitor and respond to security issues during an event.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.
• Escort guests as needed throughout the venue.
• Follow safety policies and manage crisis situations.
• Handle radios professionally and communicate with team members.
• Report incidents to Supervisor or Management.
• Other duties as assigned.
