Job summary

The Florida Panthers are seeking a part-time Event Security Guard for the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial. A valid Florida D License is required to provide security at ingress points and restricted areas during events.

Hours are primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays, with an estimated 15–25 hours per week. You will monitor access, assist guests, and ensure a safe, welcoming arena environment for attendees and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid State of Florida D Security License.
• Previous experience in security and customer service is a must.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to restricted areas and exterior doors.
• Control guest and vendor access during events.
• Check credentials to manage employee and visitor access.
• Inspect items and screen guests as needed.
• Report incidents to Supervisor or Management.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
