Job summary

Young Life in the United States seeks an Associate Area Director to partner with the area director, provide spiritual leadership, and oversee this area’s ministry. You will recruit, train and deploy volunteers and staff to run clubs, Campaigners and camps, while stewarding relationships with churches, donors and the broader community.

The role emphasizes developing a yearly ministry plan, casting vision for reaching every kid, and modeling Christ-like leadership in prayer, teamwork and service.

Qualifications

• Must have proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Implement necessary actions with the area director to carry out Young Life’s mission.
• Recruit, train and deploy volunteers and staff for ministry.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development and ministry programs.
• Assist in budgeting, fundraising and donor relations for the area.
• Develop and execute ministry plans and ensure alignment with gospel proclamation.
