Job summary

Young Life in the United States seeks an Associate Area Director to provide spiritual leadership and effective management within the area, assisting the area director and recruiting and deploying volunteers to advance Young Life’s mission.

The role encompasses leadership in spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, and direct ministry, with focus on training, budgeting, and donor relations.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Core Training —Phase One.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Spiritual Development: lead and participate in prayer, growth, and church relationships.
• Leadership Development: recruit, train and deploy volunteers and staff.
• Resource Development: support fundraising and donor communications.
• Direct Ministry: supervise clubs, campaigns and camping opportunities.
• Ministry Support: manage finances, data, and communications.
• Perform other duties aligned with area needs.
