Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Area Vice President, Anesthesia to lead national service line operations within the Division Operations - NSL. The role oversees both ambulatory and inpatient anesthesia services, steering strategic initiatives, budgets, and performance across multiple facilities.

The ideal candidate has a decade of healthcare administration experience, with strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to drive quality improvements in a complex matrix

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years healthcare administrative experience, including at least 5 years in progressively responsible management overseeing clinical operations or service lines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Experience leading multi-site, multispecialty service lines in a complex matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of Area’s senior management team and leads NSL initiatives and programs.
• Oversees ambulatory and inpatient services across the care continuum to ensure clinical quality and efficiency.
• Develops annual operating plans, growth strategies, and operational objectives aligned with NSL goals.
• Collaborates with physician leaders and partners to advance clinical programs and contracts.
• Manages workforce strategy, staffing, and leadership development; ensures policy compliance and employee engagement.
