Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc seeks a VP, Operations - System Anesthesiology to lead enterprise-wide anesthesia services across 12 acute care hospitals, ASCs, and office locations. The role ensures safe, high-quality, financially sustainable delivery and aligns clinical excellence with strategic growth.

You will build strong partnerships with executives and perioperative leaders, optimize resources, drive efficiency, and pursue external partnerships to accelerate growth, while maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Senior level management experience in healthcare operations, particularly within anesthesia.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence physicians.
• Analytical abilities to identify patterns in data to develop tailored solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple verticals (Acute, Finance, Health Plan).

Responsibilities

• Direct and evaluate system anesthesia strategy across the enterprise to drive efficiency, quality, market share and financial improvements.
• Establish collaborative relationships with executives, physician leaders, and perioperative management.
• Leverage system scale to expand anesthesia services across the enterprise.
• Advise on site optimization and resource allocation to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
• Assess external partnerships to accelerate growth and performance of the anesthesia division.
