Job summary

HDR is seeking an Area Transportation Business Group Manager to lead HDR's transportation practice across the region, drive growth, and ensure delivery excellence. You will guide programs, develop strategies, and foster collaborations with leaders to expand HDR's impact in highways, bridges, transit, and logistics.

You will build a high-performing team, mentor staff, manage client engagements, and uphold HDR's values, quality standards, and industry leadership across public and private

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
• Committed to quality and HDR values.
• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
• Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers and other leaders.
• Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of HDR's transportation practice across the area, strengthening presence and partnerships.
• Guide the direction and performance of the Transportation Business Group by developing programs for growth and operational excellence.
• Lead strategic growth initiatives and identify new opportunities in transportation markets.
• Drive development and execution of business strategies aligned with group and company goals.
• Foster collaboration across offices, disciplines, and business classes.
