Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Area Supervisor for our Duncan, Oklahoma distribution center. This first-line management role supports activities across Bulk, Shipping, Receiving, Repack, and Forklift areas, directly supervising up to 40 non-exempt associates to meet production goals.

The position requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience in an automated environment, flexibility to work multi-shifts, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years supervisory/management experience in an automated distribution or production environment.
• Familiarity with RF and pick-to-light systems desired.
• Must be flexible to work multi-shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills; strong planning and organization.

Responsibilities

• Area supervision of an assigned area (Bulk, Shipping, Receiving, Repack, Forklift).
• Directly manage up to 40 non-exempt associates; plan, assign and direct work.
• Address and resolve operational problems to meet production goals.
• Ensure staffing meets shift requirements and production, quality and safety standards.
• Provide orientation, coaching and training to assigned personnel on processes and systems.
• Create team environment through motivation and feedback and maintain effective cross-department communication.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are met and inspect work area/equipment.
