Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Area Supervisor for our Duncan, Oklahoma distribution center. The position oversees up to 40 non-exempt associates across areas such as Bulk, Shipping, Receiving, and Repack, ensuring staffing, safety, and production goals are met.

Responsibilities include coaching, cross-department communication, and maintaining housekeeping standards. The role requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years of supervisory experience in an automated environment, with RF/pick-to-light

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years supervisory/management experience in an automated distribution or production environment.
• Familiarity with Radio Frequency and pick-to-light systems.
• Flexible to work multi-shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• MS Office Suite proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the work area is appropriately staffed for the assigned shift and meets production, quality, and safety standards.
• Provide orientation, coaching, and training to assigned personnel on department processes and systems; give corrective actions as needed.
• Create a positive team environment through motivation and active communication with associates.
• Communicate effectively across DC departments to achieve daily operational goals.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are met daily.
• Conduct inspections of the work area/equipment and prepare work orders for repairs or replacements.
• Input data for required reporting.
