GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Area Supervisor is part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store, overseeing operations and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. They handle opening and closing the store, supervise associates, ensure a friendly shopping environment, maintain merchandise presentation, and uphold cleanliness and operational standards.

Essential Functions:

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments

• Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure safety for all.
• Secure the building, including entrance/exit control, EAS device checks, and cash office security.
• Remove clutter, ensure clear emergency exits, and handle emergency procedures.

Customer Service

• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and professionalism.

Personal and Store Brand

• Represent and support the company brand at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and ensure store cleanliness and merchandising standards.

General Merchandising

• Ensure recovery, sizing, markdowns, and merchandise processing meet standards.
• Handle merchandise receipt, organization, and back-stock security.

Loss Prevention

• Follow loss prevention policies, safeguard confidential info, and maintain security systems.

Front End Supervision and Operations

• Supervise front-end activities, ensure efficient checkout processes, and coach associates.

Fitting Rooms

• Maintain cleanliness and proper tagging in fitting rooms.

Administrative Duties

• Manage cash pulls, deposits, payroll, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English.
• Prior supervisory and customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, and availability for evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift over 25 lbs, and use store equipment as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Retail associates and stockroom leads.
