General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is part of Store Leadership, responsible for a specific area of the Store and the overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing company processes.

Essential Functions

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors.
• Maintain high awareness on the sales floor to ensure safety and security.
• Handle security of the building, including entrance/exit control, EAS device checks, and cash office security.
• Remove clutter, ensure clear emergency exits, and respond to alarms.
• Ensure customer safety, report accidents, and follow emergency procedures.

Customer Service

• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect.
• Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.

Personal and Store Brand

• Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and ensure store cleanliness and merchandising standards.

Qualifications include excellent communication skills, prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred, familiarity with POS systems, and ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements involve standing, walking, lifting, and operating store equipment.

Supervisory responsibilities include retail associates and stockroom leads where applicable.
