Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Area Superintendent to oversee a designated area (Columbia program) at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. The role emphasizes safety, quality and timely production in a complex naval manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will lead multiple operations, manage resources, drive continuous improvement, and work with HR and management at all levels to resolve issues and promote a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in operations or relevant field.
• 3+ years of shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction or related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of multiple operations to meet department goals and budgets.
• Lead safety initiatives and process improvements to enhance quality and schedule.
• Motivate and train first line supervision and maintain a positive team environment.
• Interface with HR to resolve employee issues and support workforce development.
