Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown, RI, seeks an Area Superintendent to oversee a designated area in AFC/Modular Construction operations at the Quonset Point facility. You will manage daily activities, drive safety, quality, and schedule performance, and lead a team of supervisors and trades to deliver pipe fabrication and installation.

The role requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience in operations, 3 years of pipe experience, and the ability to obtain DoD security

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in Operations or in a relevant field with direct reports.
• Minimum 3 years of pipe experience.
• Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense.
• Willing to work any shift, extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the daily activities of multiple operations to achieve department and facility goals and business objectives.
• Set goals and measure attainment to meet department cost objectives.
• Maintain safety and quality, achieve schedules and initiate process improvements.
• Proactively assess areas of safety to maintain and improve safety records.
• Motivate and train first line supervisors; promote employee development and training.
