Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat – North Kingstown, RI seeks an Area Superintendent for dept. 916 to oversee daily operations, drive safety and quality, and meet cost/schedule goals.

You will lead supervisors, coordinate with internal partners and customers, and promote a positive, productive workplace. Requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of supervisory experience, 3+ years in shipbuilding/manufacturing, and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in operations.
• 3+ years of shipbuilding/manufacturing experience.
• Willing to work all shifts and extended hours.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of multiple operations in area 916.
• Manage and direct activities to meet department and facility goals and budgets.
• Drive safety, quality, schedules, and process improvements.
• Motivate and train first line supervision; promote teamwork.
• Interface with HR to resolve employee issues and support workforce development.
• Coordinate with external customers and internal partners for program success.
