Job summary

AWC, a leader in industrial automation solutions, seeks an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across core product lines. You will build life-long relationships with customer and partner decision makers, lead a Sales, Service and Support team, and provide innovative technical solutions to address customer issues.

You will manage annual business planning, identify new business opportunities, coach cross-functional teams, and work with product managers to maximize productivity and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Technical Sales in industrial controls and automation.
• Diverse technical background with process automation technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a comprehensive Annual Business Plan and perform Quarterly performance reviews.
• Identify new lines of business, new product lines and new services to augment existing lines.
• Coach and assign tasks to maximize team performance with Technical Account Managers and Inside Account Managers.
• Develop productive relationships with customer and partner decision makers to close business.
• Provide technical support for PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, and related automation technologies.
• Review pricing, costs and inventory to maximize profitability and asset utilization.
