Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a motivated sales professional to develop independent account business, driving profitability through new sales and account penetration. The role supports regional/national chain customers, increasing market visibility and share.

You will collaborate within the department and organization, performing duties to best serve the company and its customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business by analyzing sales territory and customers; samples products, plans sales strategy, and delivers effective presentations.
• Grows sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established sales and margin goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts by determining pricing; coordinates with Credit for initial authorization and scheduling deliveries; follows up to ensure delivery and satisfaction.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service; coordinates with center personnel to resolve issues; may deliver in emergencies.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability per account.
• Minimizes accounts receivable issues by monitoring credit terms and following up on problems.
• Maintains awareness of pricing trends within territory to ensure competitive pricing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
