  • Ability to recognize hazards and recommend realistic solutions that work in an active construction environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage employees at every level of the organization.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to follow corrective actions through to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company safety reporting systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally between multiple jobsites.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support multiple commercial construction projects throughout the local market. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with crews, and creating a strong safety culture through coaching, education, and leading by example.

The right candidate will bring solid construction safety experience, strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, and the ability to work effectively with field employees, foremen, superintendents, and project teams.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and observations across multiple projects.
  • Identify potential hazards and work with field leadership to develop practical corrective actions.
  • Coach and educate employees on safe work practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with field employees, foremen, superintendents, and project teams to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Conduct and support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective measures.
  • Track safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions using company reporting systems.
  • Assist with employee training and certification on equipment and construction safety topics.
  • Monitor jobsites for compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and construction safety best practices.
  • Travel throughout the local market to support multiple active jobsites.
What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications
  • CHST, ASP, or CSP certification, or currently working toward certification.
  • OSHA 30 and OSHA 500/510 certifications, or the ability to obtain them.
  • Experience training and certifying employees on construction equipment and safety topics.
  • Experience supporting large commercial construction projects or specialty trade contractors.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.
