Job summary

BardWood Support Services seeks an Area Relief Officer to cover Congleton, Crewe, Winsford & Northwich. You will work in a site-based security role, ensuring safety and welcoming environments for staff and visitors across multiple locations.

Role requires SIA licence, UK driving licence and a 5-year career history, with the ability to work shifts and maintain a professional security presence. Training and career progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to own transport is essential.
• Experience in customer-facing environments and direct staff/customer interaction.
• Physically fit to undertake assigned tasks.

• Good security and operational system competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover and support to multiple locations within a region.
• Follow site operational guidance and instructions for quality service delivery.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers on client sites.
• Offer proactive public-facing presence and clear directional guidance.
• Work with customers to resolve conflicts at client premises.
• Ensure compliance with site rules and procedures with colleagues.
• Demonstrate situational awareness and involve others in threats.
• Present a smart, visible security presence on client premises.
• Administer First Aid if required (training provided).
• Complete legible incident reports when incidents occur.
• Contribute to a safe, secure, welcoming environment for all.

About the role:

Title - Area Relief Officer

Pay Rate - £13.45 per hour

Location - Congleton, Crewe, Winsford & Northwich

Shift Timings

Day shifts - Monday to Saturday: 08:45-17:15, Area Relief Officer to cover Congleton, Crewe, Winsford & Northwich
You will be working in a site-based role within the public sector, where officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both staff and visitors.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Trained to provide relief cover and support to a portfolio of locations within a geographical region.
• All the tasks and activities as per the site operational guidance and Assignment Instructions. Provide quality service delivery.
• Manage and maintain a safe environment for the client's staff and customers.
• Provide a proactive presence in all public facing areas as activity requires. This will include providing a positive initial reception for clients and directional guidance.
• Working directly with the customer as part of a team to provide conflict resolution at our client's premises where there is potential for conflict.
• Working closely with your fellow colleagues to ensure members of the public comply with site rules and guidance.
• Use common sense and initiative immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
• To have a smart appearance, always be alert and visible whilst commanding a security presence within the customer premises
• Be able to administer First Aid assistance if a member of public or client's staff was to be suddenly taken unwell (training will be provided)
• Complete legible incident report writing if and when an incident arises.
• Work to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• Full UK driving license.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Full driving license and access to own transport is essential.
• Prior experience of working in a customer-facing environment and dealing directly with staff/customers.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible attitude and the ability to adapt.
• Security and operational system competence
