Job summary

PetSmart's Area Pet Trainer is a field-based role focused on engaging pet parents and pets while delivering positive experiences aligned with PetSmart's mission and curriculum.

You will train and certify new pet training instructors across stores, actively promoting our training programs and ensuring top quality customer interactions across phone, in-store, and online channels. This position requires flexibility and a passion for pets.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year PetSmart training experience.
• 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively sell training classes in store, over the phone and online.
• Connect with pet parents to educate them about the benefits of our pet training curriculum.
• Train and certify new pet training instructors within the assigned stores.
• Maintain all paperwork related to pet training.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of training areas and rink.
