Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking an Area Doctor to lead and mentor optometrists across multiple locations in the Fort Worth district. You will oversee onboarding, peer reviews, scheduling, and doctor performance while collaborating with Clinical Services to uphold patient care standards.

The role involves traveling within the district, leading by example, and serving as a clinical liaison to staff and doctors. Licensure and practical optometry experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an O.D. degree with active state license and TPA certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of practicing optometry preferred.
• supervisory/management experience in a multi-office environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence others.
• Strong organization, planning, judgement, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee doctor satisfaction and retention in their district.
• Onboard, orient, and mentor newly hired doctors.
• Support recruiting in interviewing and hiring doctors and visiting candidates.
• Conduct peer and chart reviews to ensure protocols and patient care standards.
• Prepare monthly district doctor schedules and ensure coverage across offices.
• Lead area doctor meetings and participate in monthly calls as directed.
• Maintain regular communication with doctors and Clinical Services.
