Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and support operations as Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure safe shopping conditions, and maintain merchandise presentation.

You will also lead front-end supervision, cashier coaching, and promotional signing while supporting loss prevention initiatives and daily administrative duties. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment, correcting unsafe conditions.
• Oversees store operations in Manager on Duty capacity and assists with opening/closing.
• Supervises Associates and enforces company dress code and merchandising standards.
• Manages front-end operations, cashier training, and break schedules.
• Oversees stockrooms cleanliness, receiving, and merchandising of department.
• Performs loss prevention duties and maintains security systems.
