Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Ready Mix Area Manager to be based in Vancouver, WA, overseeing RMC operations in the Portland metro area. You will lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure safety across multiple sites while managing budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities include building a high-performing team, enforcing policies, and maintaining strong customer/community relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or logistics or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years RMC experience and 3 years at a managerial level.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competency in managing a P&L creating budget & forecast.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

The Area Operations Manager RMC will be based in Vancouver, WA and oversee all RMC operations in the Portland, Oregon Metro area.

Work Environment

This position operates within ready mix production facilities, customer locations, and office environments. Regular travel between sites is required. The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, construction environments, moving equipment, noise, dust, and uneven terrain.
