Airgas in Henderson, CO is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee the lab, fill plant, and distribution departments. You will direct managers, plan production, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced gas manufacturing environment.

The role requires 10+ years in the bulk/gas industry, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20%. Excellent leadership and safety oversight will be essential to manage costs and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in the bulk/gas industry or equivalent production environment in chemical, gas or related industry.
• FDA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and Hazardous Materials experience.
• Audits and training on SOPs including OSHA/DOT/EPA/FDA compliance.
• Strong communication with executives on progress and improvements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical regulations and adapt to standards.
• Willing to travel up to 20% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of production departments (gas manufacturing, lab, fill plant) and distribution.
• Provide direction to Plant/Distribution/Lab Managers as needed.
• Plan production operations, set priorities, and sequence manufacturing products.
• Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delays.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and safety practices.
• Oversee monthly cylinder inventory and collaborate with sales to resolve issues.
• Train employees and evaluate performance; manage personnel issues with HR.
