Amazon.com Services LLC in San Marcos, TX is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance across shifts. You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA and HR to meet delivery promises and business objectives while accommodating a flexible schedule that includes weekends and nights.

The role requires 2+ years in people management or equivalent, a Bachelor's degree or 2+ years Amazon experience, and

Qualifications

2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.

Responsibilities

Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
