Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in West Columbia, SC to lead an hourly team and uphold safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards. You will ensure on-time delivery to customers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet service promises.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing efficiency, and adapting to site variations while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequent movement (push/pull/squat/bend).
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable noise and weather conditions; stairs on some sites.
