Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in San Diego to lead an hourly workforce and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will ensure on-time delivery and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, and HR to meet business goals.

The role requires 2+ years in people/performance management, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), and flexibility to work weekends/nights. Expect to mentor teams and operate in dynamic delivery stations with variable conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform related physical tasks.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable environments including noisy and outdoor areas.
