Job summary

OnTrac in Logan Township, NJ is seeking an Area Manager to oversee all sort activities and volume in an assigned facility. This onsite role reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on driving safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a base pay range of $59,840 to $74,800 with potential to reach $89,760 over time, depending on experience and performance. Shift is PM; benefits include comprehensive medical, 401(k), paid time off, and other company

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in logistics/3PL with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Ability to evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback.
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area to ensure quality standards and safety.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and keep employees informed of daily goals and safety priorities.
• Record and manage departures/arrivals and flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute safety training, operational audits, and end-of-shift reporting.
