Job summary

Ripple Fiber in Wayne County is seeking an Area Network Owner to oversee the quality assurance of our fiber optic network construction. You will manage a team of quality control technicians, develop and implement procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

This on-site role requires coordinating field inspections, supervising staff, coordinating travel to job sites, training technicians, and enforcing safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Field Inspection Coordination: Organize and oversee daily field inspections of fiber optic network construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standard
• Team Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and direction to a team of quality control technicians, ensuring effective performance
• Vendor Compliance: Monitor and ensure that all vendors adhere to branding, signage, and other contractual requirements throughout the construction process
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, including written reports and photographs of the plant and progress, and address non-conformance issues
• Travel Coordination: Manage team travel logistics to ensure inspectors are at the right sites efficiently and safely
• Training and Development: Train quality control technicians on inspection procedures, safety protocols, and new technologies
• Safety Compliance: Ensure field activities comply with occupational safety and health regulations, conducting safety audits and corrective actions
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate current QA processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in construction
• Technology Utilization: Use inspection and reporting software tools to streamline QA and improve data accuracy
