Job summary

Ross Stores in Arden, NC is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist in daily operations as part of Store Leadership. You will supervise associates, ensure proper merchandising, safety, and a friendly shopping environment.

The role focuses on opening/closing, loss prevention, and executing company processes to support strong store performance. Responsibilities include Front End supervision, coaching cashiers, and maintaining stockrooms.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and professional presentation.
• Fluency in English and strong customer service background.
• Experience supervising and coaching store staff.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and cash handling.
• Ability to perform basic math for transactions and inventories.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Maintain friendly, easy-to-shop environment with proper merchandising.
• Execute and supervise operational processes and loss prevention basics.
• Lead Front End operations to minimize wait times and increase efficiency.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
• Support store leadership with daily administrative duties and payroll basics.
