Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Area Manager to lead manufacturing operations for designated departments.

You will drive on-time delivery, quality and cost targets by coordinating with Engineering, Information Systems, Purchasing and the production workforce. The role emphasizes Lean Manufacturing, 6S, TOC and Six Sigma problem solving, with responsibility for safety, performance metrics, budget adherence and talent development across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field; MS or MBA is desirable.
• Prefer 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Extensive training in manufacturing processes, supervision, and operations management.
• Experience in Lean, 6S, TOC, Six Sigma and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Safely manufacture a quality product meeting customer specs and delivery commitments.
• Adhere to process control procedures and quality control instructions.
• Develop long- and short-term strategies for continuous improvements.
• Control costs, delivery, WIP, and monitor production through planning.
• Recommend and purchase equipment for expansion and cost reduction.
• Provide input on equipment design for new processes.
• Ensure safety rules are followed by all employees.
• Manage operational metrics including TOC, variable cost, and LU targets.
• Lead supervision team, including hiring, performance evaluations, and development.
