Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in California. You will lead a team of hourly associates, engaging them on shifts to uphold safety, quality, attendance, and performance.

You will ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the correct location across our three workflow stages: First mile, Middle mile, and Last mile. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing safety and productivity, and collaborating with Safety, Engineering, and HR to reach business goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather; stairs in some sites.
