Job summary

Pediatric Home Service, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Area Manager to lead all customer-facing and operational activities across the area. The role ensures high-quality patient care, staffing, training, budgeting, and continuous improvement in pediatric home health and DME services.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage regional budgets, and drive performance with KPIs, while aligning with physician orders and company policies. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, operations, or a related field preferred.
• Seven (7) years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, DME, home health, multi-site operations, or a related environment preferred.
• Previous experience leading and developing teams, including other leaders.
• Experience with budgeting, financial statements, operational metrics, and P&L responsibility.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement, insurance processes, revenue cycle, and/or DME operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, solve complex operational challenges, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to partner effectively across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of area location to ensure efficient service delivery and patient needs are met in accordance with physician orders, company policies and procedures and professional standards of home-based care
• Responsible for the overall direction of all customer-facing and customer-enabling area location employees
• In conjunction with Regional VP, manage P&D, ensure financial targets and budgets are met or exceeded
• Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and manage budgets for each area location, ensuring cost control and profitability
• Ensure all areas deliver exceptional customer service, managing escalated customer concerns and complaints, ensuring timely resolution
• Confers with managers and staff concerning problems of patient care or policies and assists in analyzing problems and formulating solutions
• Develops and promotes cooperative working relationships with other provider agencies and referral sources
• Acts as liaison with caregivers and clinical staff on appropriate home medical equipment choices and ensures coordination of care with other company services, such as RT, CN, PHAR/IV
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement that promotes teamwork, professional growth, employee engagement and recognizes high performance
• Set clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and performance management.
• Seeks ways to improve and promote quality by participating in departmental and corporate quality improvement activities
• Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement improvements as needed
