Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees at a delivery station, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery promises. Training will occur at an operating site up to 10 weeks away from the home site with travel paid by Amazon.

The role involves overnight shifts (late afternoon to early morning) and front-half (Sun–Wed) or back-half (Wed–Sat) schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as climb and descend stairs
• Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures (outside loading, refrigerated areas)
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
