Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Hayesville, NC to lead a team of hourly associates, driving safety, quality, attendance, and on-time delivery. You will engage staff during shifts to meet customer expectations and deliver orders to the right location.

The role requires in-role training at an operating site for 2+ weeks away from the home site, with 10-hour overnight shifts and a rotating front-half or back-half schedule. Collaboration with Safety, HR, and other teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly employees.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours; climb stairs.
• Work in varying noise and temperature environments across sites.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including weekends and overnight shifts.
