Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in the United States (Davisville, WV area) to lead a team of hourly employees, ensuring safety, quality and on-time customer delivery. The role includes in-role training at an operating site for 2+ weeks, with travel paid by Amazon.

You will manage performance, collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, and HR, and work a flexible schedule including overnights and weekends. Shifts are 10 hours long, with front-half or back-half schedules, and training travel is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with all support teams to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
